保持道路完好是非常重要的工作。我们需要良好完善的道路，有利经济发展同时，也方便市民的日常往来。道路工程包括重铺路面、重建道路、改善道路的安全及行车状况（加阔现行路面，或建设新的道路，迎合新区域发展的需要）。道路维修也是非常重要的，包括填补人行路面的裂缝，局部修补过早损毁的道路和永久性修补公用事业公司挖掘的路面。多伦多运输署的宗旨是以纳税人支付的最低成本保养道路。
